Chris Chan

Ph.D. student in socio-cultural anthropology at the University of California, Berkeley

Christopher Chan is an American anthropologist and PhD candidate at University of California, Berkeley. He obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Rice University and Stanford University, respectively. In 2010, he was part of the US delegation of US Student Ambassadors at the World Expo in Shanghai. He continues to be active in promoting cross-cultural exchange and student collaborations on entrepreneurship and innovative design. Today, his research focuses on a range of issues regarding urbanization, globalization, and digitization specifically within Asia on topics including urban networks, science and technology, and social innovation.
