Luisa Cools

Researcher specializing in East Asian innovation, global development, and foreign aid

Louisa Cools is currently Program Director for the China Australia Millennial Project’s CAMP program, which is a cross-border innovation incubator that creates social impact startups in Australia and China. Prior to joining CAMP, she worked for the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) in Shanghai, the Re-shaping Development Institute (ReDI) in Seoul, as well as other non-profit and private sector organizations in the Asia-Pacific.

She has studied and worked in Taiwan, Korea, China and Australia and specializes in East Asian foreign aid programs, innovative development. Luisa’s academic background is in Development, International Relations and Journalism. She was once a student reporter at the 2014 G20 Leader’s Summit in Brisbane, Australia and has published articles and research for the Australian Institute of International Affairs (AIIA), the Asian International Studies Review and more.
