Lyssa Freese
Research assistant at the China Environment Forum at the Wilson Center
Elisabeth (Lyssa) Freese is a Ph.D. candidate at MIT, starting in the Fall of 2018, focusing her research on atmospheric pollution, air quality, and health, policy, and economic impacts in the U.S. and China. She is currently a research assistant at the China Environment Forum at the Wilson Center, doing work on a broad range of topics from the water-energy nexus to citizen science. She previously worked with Green Camel Bell in Gansu on their grassland degradation project and water pollution monitoring, as well as with the Rock Environment and Energy Institute in Beijing on their air pollution and energy policy research. She graduated from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in 2016 with a B.S. in Science, Technology, and International Affairs.
